Larry Coffinberry, Photographer

LarryI have been photographing for most of my life.

I started with a small 110 film camera in my early teens. By the time I joined the Navy in 1956, I had graduated to 35mm film cameras, as well as medium format film cameras, and used them until the early 2000s, when I finally switched over to digital. I have been shooting mostly digital for the last several years.

My favorite subjects are landscapes, although I have photographed several weddings, as well as parties, especially QuinceaƱeras (the coming of age ceremony held on a Latina girl's fifteenth birthday, comparable to a Sweet Sixteen celebration.)

For several years now, I have been a student in the Photography program at San Diego City College, one of the preeminent programs of its kind in the nation. I have learned a myriad of new techniques and am constantly striving to develop a style of photography that is unique and interesting. I expect this to be a life-long joyful effort.
